After moving his home-front and studio to a new location, Lucien focussed on his productions with a fresh view. In March Lucien and Martijn ten Velden hooked up to combine their production skills and share musical ideas. Their first offspring, the track called 'BLEEEP' will be released in September 05. The Airbass Patrollers, as Lucien and Martijn like to call themselves, have successfully signed the Bleeep E. P. to renowned UK label 'Toolroom Records'. In the mean time Lucien and Martijn are cooking up some hot new stuff, so keep an eye out for their follow-up. On a solo tip, Lucien finished a remix of Dj Disciple's 'I Get High' which will be released on USA house label 'Catch 22'. With Lucien's re-edit of the Roog and Greg Hardsoul remix on the (a) side and his own remix on the flip side this promisses some backbreaking beats for the dance-floor. After releasing his first 'SLICE!' compilation in 2003, Lucien now expects to present his second 'SLICE!' mix cd at the end of 2005. In the mean time Lucien will be spinning all over the globe. Looking back into the history books, Lucien Foort certainly enjoyed a well-educated musical background. His parents insisted that Lucien attend music school at the early age of 9, where he went on to achieve A. M. V. music training. He spent 8 years at music school combined with 5 years saxophone and orchestra education. All this music training certainly set him up to be able to tackle the most complex of musical compositions. Lucien began djing at the tender age of 14, at a his cousin Stanley's house one sunday afternoon; asked if he liked it, he loved it and progressed from there. Beat Street was the first record Lucien ever bought and he was quickly on his way to spinning some great tunes. Club Carrerra in Rotterdam was the first club Lucien ever played at in 1994, from djing in his hometown to a diary full of dates all around the world.
