The perfect host for all your party needs. Since being introduced to the Dutch dance scene in 1998 by MC Marxman, Stretch has become a regular and well known voice on the microphone forsome of the biggest organisations in The Netherlands! He began his entertainment career back in London in 1988, doing his own parties with a couple of friends. This soon led to Weekend pirate radio. 'Everybody in North London would listen to my shows on Saturday and Sunday morning because i played everything. It was funny because we only had message pagers back then, so from 7 in the morning till 10, it was total madness, god help me if i was fucked from the night before 'This began his professional career in Dance music. At the end of 1992 he moved swiftly in the industry and after a 3 month stay in New York, working with Websters Hall, he went back to London and started working with A. W. O. L. and World Dance. They were responsible for bringing 'Jungle' to the masses in the U. K. at the 'Paradise club'. A. W. O. L. was the first London club to play Drum and Bass in the main room and U. S. Garage in the second room. All this time he would continue to play soulful house and Garage as dj, alongside residents Richie Fingers, Laurence Bagnall and international guests like Frankie 'Shag' Bones and Farley Jackmaster Funk. In 1993-94 he was inspirational in the beginning of the U. K. Garage scene! Internationally tagged 'Speed Garage', Stretch was the first MC alongside MC Creed at the now infamous 'Spread Love Project' which saw the creation of 'Public Demand Records.' They produced artists such as Craig David, Artful Dodger and Robbie Craig. Always the promoter he could be continually heard on the pirate airwaves doing his regular shows for freak, function and any station where he felt most at home. 1997 he secured his first residency at 'Propaganda' and also found time to record and produce 'The Gentlemans Irish e. p.' his only full production to date. 14 years experience of working with some of the biggest and the best in the business including: Ministry of Sound, Kiss F. M, Penge, Public Demand, Creamfields, Twice as Nice ( U. K. ) Dance Valley, Concept, U. D. C, Impulz, Club Risk, 4 Elements, High Quality, (N. L. ) Exqusit Promotions (D) Amnesia, Es Paradis, Cafe Mambo, Ancient People (Ibiza) Websters Hall (New York), Mojo concerts and Kremin. Since his permanent move to the Netherlands Stretch decided to hook up with the team at 1Management. Through their team work he has since aquired The residency for Club Risk in Amsterdam and secured the new residency to KREMLIN which will also feature in all the major outdoor festivals in 2003 as well as a number of appearances around the country. Studio work has also been on the schedule with compositions written with The legendary Quazar after appearing in the Vredeburg, Utrecht together with Dj Timstr. Stretch, as a dj, has taken a very back seat but he does insist that his rare groove/soulful sound will be in demand soon enough again. 'I still have not found the time to get my music from my mummys house in England'. With his great sense of humour, he never fails to bring a feel of fun when he works with the dj's as artists. He knows what its like to pull of that perfect mix where the crowd goes crazy and so can time his 'Do what you like and blame it on the dj' line to perfection every time.
